Becky Ferguson -PORTUGAL

After nearly 7 years of serving as a missionary in the Czech Republic, Becky moved to a small city in Portugal in October 2025 to begin a new ministry. She is partnered with a local Portuguese church that has a small community centre called Coração com Vida (Heart with Life). The goal of the community centre is to combat isolation, depression, loneliness and suicide. Becky’s role is to plan, organize and execute events that bring the community together, such as leading art workshops, offering English classes, starting weekly clubs for various demographics, and simply being present as a friendly face and someone to talk to. As she continues to learn and improve in Portuguese, her role will expand to offering care and counselling to those in need.

* To develop strong connections at Coração com Vida and within the community

* To be able to help and support the many (especially women) who are struggling with loneliness and depression, but cannot afford the help they need
